Michael W. Steele,
CPA--PARTNER
Michael founded the
firm in 1979. A native of Trenton, TN, Michael is a 1974 honors
graduate of Abilene Christian University and
worked for three years as a staff auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in
Dallas. As a long time active
member of the Jackson
Area Chamber of
Commerce , Michael initiated the Small Business Awards Program.
Michael has served in leadership roles in local civic organizations and was
a delegate to the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business.
Some of the client
emphasis areas for Michael are real estate development, sale and purchase
of a business, physicians, funeral homes, trust and estate taxes, and
wealth transfer/ estate planning. He enjoys the challenge of a complex tax
opportunity.

Gary N. Martin,
CPA--MANAGING PARTNER
Joining the firm as a
partner in 1982, Gary built upon his 12 year career
in banking to help grow a successful CPA firm. He graduated from Harding University in his hometown of Searcy, AR, in 1970. Gary serves on the board of
directors of a local bank and the board of several local Christian
organizations, including Jackson Christian School.
Gary has the opportunity to work
with a wide range of individuals and business owners. His client base
covers convenience stores/gas distributors, physicians, radio stations, and
other small business.

Tom Carson Jones,
CPA--PARTNER
After graduating from East TN State University in 1980, Tom worked
for a national CPA firm in East Tennessee for six years. Tom
changed careers to own and operate two TCBY Yogurt franchised stores (Jackson and Dyersburg) until 1994. At that time he
came back to accounting with our firm and was named a partner of STEELE
MARTIN JONES & BORGOGNONI, PLC, in 1999.
Tom says that he really
enjoys working with other small business owners. He builds upon his
hands-on experience not only with his restaurant clients but also with
trucking companies, physicians, industrial service companies, and
individuals.

Thomas L.
Borgognoni, Jr., CPA--PARTNER
Tommy received his undergraduate
degree from the University of Mississippi.
Although his major was Banking & Finance, he was still able to take the
CPA exam and pass on his first attempt with one of the highest scores in
the state.
After serving serving
several years in the banking industry, Tommy joined the firm in 1996. He is
an adjunct faculty member of a local college, and serves on several
for-profit and non-profit boards. Tommy has taught the QuickBooks class at Jackson State Community College for the past number of years.
Tommy splits his time
between the Jackson, TN and Parsons, TN offices.
